False teachers Uncovered

Many false phrophets and teachers have arisen in the world just as it was foretold in the Bible. I found this passage from 2 Peter 2 very insightful and i used the ERV Easy to Read Version which explains it in a way i clearly understood. Feel free to read this version and compare with your preffered version.

They teach falsehood because they do not follow Jesus

 In the past there were false prophets among God’s people. It is the same now. You will have some false teachers in your group. They will teach things that are wrong—ideas that will cause people to be lost. And they will teach in a way that will be hard for you to see that they are wrong. They will even refuse to follow the Master who bought their freedom. And so they will quickly destroy themselves.

 They will have a huge following even though they do what is wrong 

Many people will follow them in the morally wrong thintheygs they do. And because of them, others will say bad things about the way of truth we follow.  These false teachers only want your money. So they will use you by telling you things that are not true. But the judgment against these false teachers has been ready for a long time. And they will not escape God who will destroy them.
 When angels sinned, God did not let them go free without punishment. He sent them to hell. He put those angels in caves of darkness, where they are being held until the time when God will judge them.
 And God punished the evil people who lived long ago. He brought a flood to the world that was full of people who were against God. But he saved Noah and seven other people with him. Noah was a man who told people about living right.
 God also punished the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. He burned them until there was nothing left but ashes. He used those cities as an example of what will happen to people who are against God.  But he saved Lot, a good man who lived there. 

They bring sorrow to righteous people

Lot was greatly troubled by the morally bad lives of those evil people.  This good man lived with those evil people every day, and his good heart was hurt by the evil things he saw and heard.
 So you see that the Lord God knows how to save those who are devoted to him. He will save them when troubles come. And the Lord will hold evil people to punish them on the day of judgment. That punishment is for those who are always doing the evil that their sinful selves want to do. It is for those who hate the Lord’s authority.

They are full of pride

These false teachers do whatever they want, and they are so proud of themselves. They are not afraid even to say bad things against the glorious ones. The angels are much stronger and more powerful than these beings. But even the angels don’t accuse them and say bad things about them to the Lord.
 But these false teachers speak evil against what they don’t understand. They are like animals that do things without really thinking—like wild animals that are born to be caught and killed. And, like wild animals, they will be destroyed. They have made many people suffer. So they themselves will suffer. That is their pay for what they have done.

They are coveteous, adulters & greedy

They think it is fun to do evil where everyone can see them. They enjoy the evil things that please them. So they are like dirty spots and stains among you—they bring shame to you in the meals you eat together.  Every time they look at a woman, they want her. They are always sinning this way. And they lead weaker people into the trap of sin. They have taught themselves well to be greedy. They are under a curse.
 These false teachers left the right way and went the wrong way. They followed the same way that the prophet Balaam went. He was the son of Beor, who loved being paid for doing wrong. ¹⁶ But a donkey told him that he was doing wrong. A donkey cannot talk, of course, but that donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the prophet from acting so crazy.
 These false teachers are like springs that have no water. They are like clouds that are blown by a storm. A place in the deepest darkness has been kept for them.  

They are crafty smooth talkers but for evil

They boast with words that mean nothing. They lead people into the trap of sin. They find people who have just escaped from a wrong way of life and lead them back into sin. They do this by using the evil things people want to do in their human weakness. These false teachers promise those people freedom, but they themselves are not free. They are slaves to a mind that has been ruined by sin. Yes, people are slaves to anything that controls them.
 People can be made free from the evil in the world. They can be made free by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But if they go back into those evil things and are controlled by them, then it is worse for them than it was before.  Yes, it would be better for them to have never known the right way. That would be better than to know the right way and then to turn away from the holy teaching that was given to them. What they did is like these true sayings: “A dog vomits and goes back to what it threw up.” And, “After a pig is washed, it goes back and rolls in the mud again.”

I urge you ask believe in Jesus and be born again by water and the Blood of Jesus. Ask God for the Holy Spirit and the grace to be sheltered from false teachers and prophets. If you are suspicious ask God in prayer and run away from the false teacher and prophet. God bless you

Why is Jesus Coming Back?

I write this post to explain why Jesus is coming back. I realise I have shared that He is coming but not why so here is why:

1.       He is coming because He promised to come back. In the same way which He was taken up, the same way will He come back. Acts 1:11 …this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.

Jesus is Faithful and True and will fulfil the Word He spoke when He spoke of His coming back at a time we do not expect like a thief in the night.

2.       He is coming to save His own also known as His Bride. These are the Wise ones, Ready and Faithful sons and daughters of God who after hearing the message of repentance accept it and repent for the forgiveness of sins thereby availing themselves to prepare for the coming of the Messiah in righteousness, holiness inside and outside, humility, Truth as found in the Word of God and complete surrender to Jesus Christ whom they believe is the Son of God.

3.       He is coming to harvest, to gather the fruit of His labour. The world and the heavens witnessed the crucifixion of the Saviour of this world. Heaven and earth witnessed Him being spat on, being hit in the head several times. The Beloved Son of God suffered public humiliation, He received gruesome torture of many forms, of insults, betray and rejection by His own, of pain in the body as they dragged Him from one court to the other and gave Him many lashes. Not only that but His Spirit cried out to The Father in sorrow, ‘My God why have you forsaken me?’

He was a man of many sorrows, acquainted with grief and we esteemed not even now many live their lives as enemies of the cross, they backslide and to their loss they crucify the Son of God over again.

But Him who laboured in sorrow and tears will come to reap and gather in joy. He will share His joy and glory with His own – those who have shared in His sufferings. He will show them His Kingdom which is the Kingdom of heaven.

4.       He is coming that those who did not believe because they had not seen may believe. In His second coming as a thief in the night, He will not be seen by all but all will feel His presence in one way or the other. When He raptures His own many will remember the prophecy revealed long ago and will believe. By then the door will be shut. However salvation will still be available, this calls for patience for the antichrist will mercilessly persecute the left- behind; lukewarm Christians and kill many. Believers will need to refuse the mark of the beast which will be required to perform any financial transactions. And His two witnesses and other witnesses will continue to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins which will still be a requirement.

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelations 22:20

This message was attacked 3times but we know the truth that the Word of God is not in chains so today if you hear His voice do not harden your heart.

12 Ways in which God is not man

1.       God is Good

FOR THE LORD IS GOOD AND HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. (PSALMS 100:5)

God is good and in Him is no wickedness. God is a Holy God known as the Holy One Among Us. He is a Righteous God; He cannot be tempted by evil neither does He tempt anyone with evil. God is a Just God; He is a God who defends the cause of the oppressed and gives the afflicted their rights. God is Loving & Merciful; The Love of God is unsearchable. God is True; God is not a man that He should lie about anything. God is hardworking; He works for the good of all those who love Him, who are called for His good purpose. He gives His Peace to his children.

On the other hand man sins, the good that a man may want to do, he may end up not doing it. If man were to be saved by their own goodness then none would be saved for no one is good except God and for this reason Jesus came into the world so that through His death, man could be saved by faith in Him.

Mark 10:18 ….”No one is good- except God alone.

Therefore as children of a Good God let us strive to do good and let us not get tired of doing good for it pleases Our Father. Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.

2.       God is Sovereign

HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. (DEUTERONOMY 6:4)

Kings are elected and after their term they retire or they die or get overthrown and their reign comes to an end. But it is not so with God; God’s reign does not and will not end. The Lord reigns forever. He is Sovereign God who rules over the heavens and the earth even the seas and the deep all of which are the works of His hands

Man even if he might be a Duke, Lord, Royal Highness, Queen or President cannot claim sovereign power. Though He might possess more power than others but he is still answerable to counsels, the law and God. Others in efforts to make themselves like God have used dictatorship to claim sovereign power but it was only for a while; even now there is little remembrance of them.

Also know that the anti-christ who is prophesied in the Bible will try to stand as God and cause all people to worship him and take his mark but the Lord Jesus will put an end to him and his followers after the decreed time passes.

3.       God is Mighty

THE MIGHTY ONE, GOD, THE LORD SPEAKS AND SUMMONS THE EARTH FROM THE RISING OF THE SUN TO THE PLACE WHERE IT SETS. (PSALM 50:1)

God is a Mighty God with the history of His mighty works recorded in the Bible, from creating the heavens to leading Israel from captivity into their promised land to the display of His wisdom and power through His Son in the workings of miracles and wonders like walking on water and resurrecting from the dead.

God is High and Lofty, So High the earth is His footstool.

No-one and no god can content with The Lord of Hosts; satan and his followers were fought and thrown out of heaven. A god of the Philistines called dagon fell on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord (1Samuel 5:1-3).

But man though he may display might in his work, he will reach a point where he grows weary, even the youths grow weary which is why it is important to trust in the Mighty One who renews strength of those who wait on Him.

4.       God is Fearful

IT IS A DREADFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD- HEBREWS 10:31

God is the Ancient of Days & The Lion of Judah; He is not our age mate that we can fellowship with Him anyhow. God is fearful; Hebrews says the Israelites who heard the voice of God begged that no further words be spoken to them. When Jesus showed Himself to Saul, Saul’s companions saw the light and were afraid (Acts 22:9)

God is a consuming Fire. Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed by fire for their wickedness.

To know the climax of the fearfulness of God is to have God fighting against you.

There are children of satan and those who are living an ignorant life who go about terrorizing and persecuting others. This kind of fearfulness is the man kind of fearfulness. The man kind of fearfulness is evil and without mercy. They can only kill your body but God will preserve your soul.

5.       God is able

….WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE; BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE (MATHEW 19:26)

With God all things are possible. God Almighty, Jehovah El Shaddai calls forth things that be not as though they are.

God makes water flow in the desert, He makes a way where there is no way. He is a miracle working God who accompanies His word with signs and wonders.

But with man not all things are possible; with man there are incurable constraints and challenges. If only man would humble themselves under the mighty hand of God then God would exalt and cause man to do exploits, even now those who have humbled themselves are healing incurable diseases in the name of Jesus. Some are performing mighty feats in business that on their own they would otherwise not be able to perform.

6.       God will not sleep

INDEED, HE WHO WATCHES OVER ISRAEL WILL NEITHER SLUMBER NOR SLEEP (PSALM 121:4)

God is very mindful of you and me that He will not sleep because He is watching over us. Know that in Christ we are sons of God and therefore one with Israel, the firstborn of God by faith. In this we are assured of security and help anytime we call be it early morning, afternoon or midnight.

God also sees everything done under the earth, you can’t say I will sin in darkness because God will be sleeping and will not see me. You can’t run away from God and say God will not find me, Jonah tried but failed.

Man on the other hand cannot do without sleep. The help of man is limited to certain times. With man there are times when he is unavailable to answer or help.

Man also cannot see all things at all times which is why it is a foolish thing not to trust in God for without God how will you know of those who plot against you in the hidden places?

7.       God considers the heart

FOR MAN LOOKETH ON THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE, BUT THE LORD LOOKETH ON THE HEART (1SAMUEL 16:7)

God judges righteously because God looks at the heart. He weighs a man’s thoughts and motives. This is the heart that pleases God;

A heart that has absolute faith in God, absolute love for God, absolute thankfulness to God, repentant heart, obedient, humble, honest, Spirit filled, a heart that spends time alone with God, inquisitive heart, caring heart, servant heart, courageous, loyal to God, declares the power of God, depends on God’s provision, reverent, respectful, trustworthy, devoted, willing, righteous, holy, a heart of worship, a heart that recognises Jehovah for who He is and strives to fulfil the will of God, a strong heart and a heart of integrity and dignity just to mention some.

Man however looks at appearance and therefore judges wrongly unless God gives him discernment. In a job interview your appearance & skills can earn you the job. There is not much focus on the heart and even if there is many cover up the real form of their heart.

8.       God is glorious

AND THE ONE WHO SAT THERE HAD THE APPEARANCE OF JASPER AND CARNELIAN. A RAINBOW RESEMBLING AN EMERALD ENCIRCLED THE THRONE. (REVELATIONS 4:3)

All glory and honour belongs to God. God is King of Glory. Heaven opened and Ezekiel saw visions of God. He concluded the vision he saw by saying, I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up He looked like fire, and from there down He looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded Him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around Him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord….Ezekiel 1:27-28

Man’s efforts to be glorious have included the use of make-up, plastic surgery and expensive clothes and jewellery but none of man’s glory lasts.

Man was formed from dust and to dust does he returns, when man’s spirit departs he returns to the ground and his body sees decay.

There is no glory in the grave. Job 14:10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

But we know that when we believe in the RISEN King of GLORY He shall raise our mortal bodies immortal. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

9.       God is God

TO WHOM WILL YE LIKEN ME, AND MAKE ME EQUAL, AND COMPARE ME, THAT WE MAY BE LIKE? ( ISAIAH 46: 5)

God is God and cannot be compared to anything or anyone. He says He is Who He Is.

On the other end man is man. Yes man was created in the image of God but is not God for there is only One God called I AM. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. He will never share His glory with any other. 1Timothy 2:5 For there is One God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

10.   God is Rich

IF I WERE HUNGRY I WOULD NOT TELL YOU FOR THE WORLD IS MINE, AND ALL THAT IS IN IT (PSALM 50:12)

God is rich in many things. All glory, honour, power and wealth belongs to God for He created all things and by His will everything created has its being.

All silver and gold belongs to God.

God holds riches of wisdom and knowledge also.

Man claims to be rich but riches that are temporary are not true riches. Riches that are destroyed by moth and mildew are not true riches. Riches that can be stolen are not lasting riches. This is why the Lord Jesus counsels every man saying, ‘You say, I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing, but you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes so you can see’ Revelations 3:17-20

11.   God remembers

…REMEMBER YOUR COVENANT WITH US AND DO NOT BREAK IT. (JEREMIAH 14:21)

God is a God of remembrance. This means when He has given a promise, even if the fulfilment delays when God remembers He will make it come to pass.

God also keeps records of remembrance. When Hezekiah was sick and God send Prophet Isaiah with word that he would die; Hezekiah asked God to remember how he had walked before God faithfully and whole heartedly and God added 15 years to his life.

Man however is forgetful and his remembrance can sometimes be conditional. Even if he remembers man may not be able to do anything to pay back. Which is why; spend yourself to please The One Who Remembers not man who forgets.

12.   God is faithful and reliable

THE ONE WHO CALLS YOU IS FAITHFUL…(1THESSALONIANS 5:24)

Jesus witnessed of Our Father and said, ‘He who send me is faithful and reliable.’

Many unbelievers like to use common sense and science to discredit the existence and power of God but they discredit God without proving Him to see if He is indeed who He says to be.

As for me I have walked with God and I can give witness that He is indeed Faithful and Reliable.  

The same cannot be said for man. Man can betray brother for a piece of bread or for a few coins. It is foolish to hold on to the word of man.

And then you ask, ‘Was Jesus not a man?’

Read the Bible and find out for yourself then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free!!!

Do not reject knowledge for God’s people perish because of lack of knowledge
