I know the story of a man who was searching for the truth of who God is. And the man saw the sun shining upon the earth and thought to himself, 'Surely now this sun is God, and him i will serve.' The man that day prayed to the sun but evening came as usual and the sun set. The sun was no more and the day became dark then the man thought to himself, 'Surely this cannot be God?'
The man continued with his search, he asked himself, 'Who is he who made the heavens and the earth? Who created the earth? Where is he?
The man saw the moon and stars filling the sky and he said,'behold these stars are servants around their master the moon.' The man worshipped the stars and the moon all night. But in the morning it was light again and the sun shone upon the earth as usual, the man understood that these were not gods.
The man thought, 'these are not gods but servants of a Great God.'
The man went to his fathers house. The man asked his father, saying, "Father tell me, where is God who created heaven and earth, and all the sons of men upon earth? The father took his son to an inner room full of gods of wood and stone, countless great images. The father bowed to his gods and said, "Behold those who created us are with us in this house."
The man went to his mother and said, "Mother my father has shown me those who made the heavens and the earth, can i have choice meat cooked well from that i may offer to them to eat. The man saw that they had no voice, no hearing and none of them could stretch forth his hand to eat.
The Spirit of the true living God clothed the man and he proclaimed, "Woe unto my father and this wicked generation, whose hearts are inclined to vanity, who serve these idols of wood and stone which can neither eat, smell, hear nor speak, who have mouths without speech, eyes without sight, ears without hearing, hands without feeling, and legs which cannot move; like them are those who made them and that trust in them.
Moral of the story
Everything that has been created has an end. Heaven and earth will pass away. Mathew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. People are born and they pass away when they die. Job 14:1-2 Man that is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. If all things shall pass away like this, then that which remains unchanged and does not die, that is the One and True God. His name is El Shaddai-God Almighty, El Elyon- Most High God, Adonai- Master, Yahweh- Lord of Lords, Jehovah Nissi- The Lord my banner, Jehovah Roah- The Lord my Shepherd, Jehovha Rapha- The Lord who heals, Jehovah Tsidkenu- Our Righteousness, El Olam- Everlasting God, Jehovah Shalom- The Lord Is Peace, Jehovah Jireh- The Lord Will Provide, Jehovah Sabaoth- Lord of Hosts, Qanna- Jealous God, Jehovah Mekoddishkem- The Lord who sanctifies you.
Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord he is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
After heavens and earth pass away by destruction we who believe in the One and True God look forward to a new heaven and earth which is for those who obey the Lord. 2 Peter 3:10-13 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up..... Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
I urge you get to know about God and His Son Jesus Christ through His Holy Word, The Bible and His Holy Spirit who is available free to anyone who asks. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.
